full SaaS cycle from idea to App Directory: Discord bot, backend, cron challenges, billing and landing
Fiftify needed to ship a complete SaaS product inside Discord: the Bulls & Cows game with daily global challenges, server leaderboards and premium monetization. It had to install in seconds, run on slash commands, stay privacy-first, and bill natively through Discord. Everything from the game engine to the marketing site and the App Directory launch.
We built Bovio end-to-end. The bot is TypeScript on discord.js with slash commands (/start, /guess, /stats, /forget-me), one match per channel, on a Prisma + PostgreSQL backend. The global daily challenge at 00:00 UTC runs on node-cron with worldwide leaderboards (daily/weekly/all-time). Privacy by design: we store only Discord IDs and guesses, with GDPR erasure via /forget-me. Freemium monetization ($4.99/server) billed directly through Discord. Deployed on Fly.io (Docker), with pino logging, zod validation and Jest tests. Separately, a static marketing landing on Cloudflare with full SEO and legal pages. Released in the Discord App Directory.
